Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes within the facility, ensuring that production goals are met while adhering to quality standards and safety regulations. This role focuses on optimizing operations through continuous improvement initiatives, particularly within the food and dairy manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure optimal output and quality.
Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing demands.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Train and mentor production staff on best practices and operational procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline communication and enhance overall production effectiveness.
Analyze production data and prepare reports for management on performance metrics and improvement opportunities.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in food or dairy manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Proven experience in continuous improvement initiatives and project management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team effectively.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on production metrics.
