Job Title: Parts BreakdownJob Description
This role involves the extraction of cut parts from large sheets of steel, aluminum, and other metals. The work is repetitive and requires standing for long periods. In addition to this primary task, employees will perform various duties throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Remove cut parts from large metal sheets.
Complete basic, routine tasks following detailed instructions.
Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, and maintain the warehouse.
Receive, place, and return items into stock inventory locations.
Pull and assemble orders based on work or shipping orders.
Tag materials for identification and complete required documentation.
Transport materials using forklifts, side loaders, or cranes.
Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, or product code.
Conduct spot checks on inventory and ensure proper tagging of materials.
Report irregularities to supervisors for guidance.
Restock materials as needed.
Occasionally drive a non-DOT truck for local deliveries and parts pick-ups.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Driver’s License.
Certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment.
Technical aptitude and basic knowledge of mechanics.
Working knowledge of electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
Manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multilimbed coordination.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
Basic measurement skills for performing math computations.
Basic arithmetic skills for calculating and converting decimals and fractions.
Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge, experience, and judgment.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, internal customers, and vendors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Trade school certification in electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing preferred.

Work Environment
The facility is non-climate controlled and requires employees to wear jeans or work pants—no shorts, sweats, or leggings allowed. The work shifts are Monday to Friday, with the first shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, and the second shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Overtime may fluctuate, requiring flexibility for early starts and weekend work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
