Estimator - Commercial Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our commercial construction team. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing bids, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation and a thorough understanding of construction processes and bidding practices.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects

Conduct take-offs using On Screen Take Off software

Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather relevant information

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for accurate pricing

Create and submit competitive bids for projects

Analyze and assess risks associated with bids and project execution

Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the construction process

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry

Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials

Proficiency in estimating software, particularly On Screen Take Off

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Effective communication and negotiation skills

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
