We are currently partnered with a well established LMM Buyout Private Equity firm that invest with a fairly Generalist mandate and has nearly $3 Billion in AUM. They've been around for several decades, have multiple offices across the US, and offer their Deal Team members the chance to stay on with the orgnaization for the long term. The group is now looking for someone to join the organization at the Associate level. This individual can start near term or wait until Summer of 2026. Responsibilities
Support the full lifecycle of private equity investments, including sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio management across a diverse range of industries.
Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation analyses, and scenario planning to evaluate potential investments.
Perform market research and competitive analysis to assess industry dynamics and identify attractive investment opportunities.
Assist in preparing investment memoranda and presentations for internal committees and external stakeholders.
Participate in deal structuring, negotiations, and coordination with legal, financial, and operational advisors.
Monitor portfolio company performance and collaborate with management teams to implement strategic and operational initiatives.
Contribute to fundraising efforts and investor reporting as needed.
Maintain strong relationships with industry experts, intermediaries, and other deal sources to support origination efforts.
Requirements
2-4 years of experience in investment banking experience doing M&A related transactions
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of valuation methodologies and transaction structuring.
Ability to work across sectors and quickly develop domain knowledge in new industries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus but not required.Company Description
