Job Profile: Warehouse Manager Reports To: President/General Manager Location: Central Warehouse, Paramus, NJ Status: Full-Time, Exempt Department: Warehouse Suit Store Group is a growing men’s clothing retailer with multiple locations in New Jersey and the greater New York area.

Our stores include Tate’s Menswear and Suit Store Outlet, which are known for their high sales volume, excellent service, and helping customers look their best for life’s special moments.

The warehouse is the core of our business, keeping everything running smoothly.

It’s where all suits, shirts, and accessories start their journey to the sales floor.

As Warehouse Manager, you’ll supervise the movement of goods from receiving to shipping, making sure our stores are always stocked and ready to fulfill our promise of quality and service.

This is a practical leadership position.

You’ll manage a team, streamline processes, and ensure the warehouse runs with accuracy, efficiency, and speed.

Equally important, you’ll treat store managers as your main customers, anticipating their needs and offering timely, dependable support.

As part of the leadership team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how Suit Store Group expands its operations to handle rising demand.

About the Role The warehouse is the core of Suit Store Group’s operations, where inventory is stored, deliveries are managed, and products are ensured to arrive at each store promptly and accurately.

The Warehouse Manager will supervise the daily movement of goods from receiving to shipping, maintaining high levels of accuracy, organization, and efficiency in a busy environment.

This is a hands-on leadership position where foresight, accountability, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for implementing systems and processes that ensure smooth operations while leading a team that considers store managers their primary customers.

As part of the leadership team, this individual will help design and implement processes that promote growth.

What You’ll Do Warehouse Operations & Inventory ControlOversee daily warehouse activities, such as receiving, storing, and distributing suits and accessories.Manage inventory control: stock counts, reconciliations, perpetual inventory accuracy, and loss prevention.Maintain warehouse layout, cleanliness, and organization for maximum efficiency.Monitor equipment (forklifts, racks, vehicles) and arrange maintenance as needed.

Distribution & LogisticsCoordinate and schedule store deliveries, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.Work ahead to forecast store needs and adjust distribution proactively.Partner with store managers to anticipate demand and resolve issues quickly.Ensure all shipping/receiving documentation is accurate and properly filed.Manage vendor relations for deliveries, logistics, and supplies.

Systems, Processes & Continuous ImprovementDevelop and improve SOPs for all warehouse activities, creating processes that enhance efficiency and accuracy.Utilize systems and tools to monitor product movement and facilitate ongoing inventory audits.Set measurable goals and efficiency targets for warehouse operations.Provide regular updates to leadership on inventory status, issues, and process enhancements.

Team Leadership & SafetySupervise and assign tasks to warehouse staff, monitoring performance and providing coaching.Foster a team culture that is rooted in accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.Provide training and ensure team members are held accountable for safety and productivity standards.

What You BringOver 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution management (retail apparel experience a plus).Proven success in maintaining inventory accuracy and distribution in a high-volume setting.Experience designing and implementing systems, SOPs, and process improvements.Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating warehouse teams.Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.Comfort with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and performance metrics.
