Empire Mechanical, Syracuse, NY’s fastest growing, respected HVAC team consistently delivering top-quality heating and cooling services with pride is currently seeking an experience HVAC Installation Technician to join our team and help keep our customers comfortable with reliable heating and cooling installations.
The HVAC Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for residential and/or commercial clients. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, follows safety standards, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Install heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential and/or commercial properties.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems to ensure proper function.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
Test HVAC systems for functionality, efficiency, and safety.
Troubleshoot issues and recommend effective solutions.
Follow all safety standards and company procedures on job sites.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and explaining system use.
Work closely with team members to complete projects on time and to quality standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in HVAC is a plus.
Proven experience installing and maintaining HVAC systems.
Strong understanding of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including electrical components.
Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
Knowledge of safety standards and practices in HVAC installation.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Physical ability to lift, carry, and work in various conditions (climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, etc.).
Valid driver’s license; HVAC certification (EPA, NATE, or other relevant certifications) preferred.
