Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans

Perform airway management and provide support to patients in need

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians

Monitor and interpret vital signs, blood gases, and other diagnostic test results

Assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory disorders.

Develop and implement effective respiratory care plans.

Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Educate patients and their families about respiratory health and proper treatment techniques.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care

Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely

Qualifications:

Willingness to learn in a new environment, work collaboratively with a team and be able to both communicate well and work independently.

Valid license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of UT.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and equipment

Proficiency in performing airway management procedures

Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology related to the respiratory system

Ability to interpret medical terminology, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests relevant to respiratory care

Skilled in administering medications via various routes including inhalation therapy
