Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotating on-call weekends

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) installations, troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems, locate underground cables, and support fixed wireless internet services. This role may also require climbing towers to maintain or install equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Install and maintain fiber optic cables for residential and business customers.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber optic and fixed wireless internet systems.

Locate and mark underground fiber optic cables.

Climb towers as needed for equipment installation, maintenance, or repair.

Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.

Participate in rotating on-call weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing preferred.

Knowledge of fixed wireless internet systems is a plus.

Comfortable working at heights and climbing towers (certification preferred but not required).

Familiarity with cable locating equipment and techniques.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
