Experienced Legal Records Coordinator - An industry-leading provider of legal professional services is seeking a skilled and dependable Records Coordinator to join our on-site team. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a proactive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, and capable of independently managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and organize physical and electronic legal records in accordance with firm policies and industry best practices
Perform file creation, retrieval, interfiling, archiving, and destruction
Respond to client requests promptly and professionally, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with records retention policies
Coordinate incoming and outgoing file transfers, including off-site storage management
Support litigation teams with file preparation and document tracking
Assist with special projects related to Information Governance and Records Management
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable work experience
Minimum of 7 years total work experience
3-5+ years of experience in a legal or corporate records environment
Familiarity with records management systems (i.e., iManage or similar platform)
Strong knowledge of records retention and compliance protocols
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs. and perform physical file room tasks
Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service orientation
