Job Title: Project Manager Assistant

Company Overview:

DCI Signs & Awnings, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of exterior signs, awnings, canopies, and sunshades. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager Assistant to support the management of local and regional projects. This is a long-term position with opportunities for growth into a senior project management role.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day management of projects from inception to completion.

Coordinate and monitor project schedules, ensuring fabrication and installation remain on track.

Assist with document management, including contract submittals, permit procurement, change orders, and other project-related paperwork.

Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.

Assist project manager in job scope take-offs and proposals - will train

Occasionally travel to municipalities and job sites in Northern NJ and the NY metro area.

Maintain clear and professional communication through email and phone, with a focus on follow-through and task completion.

Efficiently use Microsoft Office software for project tracking and documentation.

Qualifications:

Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

Self-motivated, teachable, and open to feedback with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in commercial project management, particularly in construction-related trades, is a strong plus.

Spanish-speaking ability is highly desirable.
