Sr. Electrical Estimator

Job Description

This Sr. Electrical Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, competitive and comprehensive estimates for complex projects across multiple sectors, including transportation, health care and higher education facilities. Additional experience with clean room and fabrication work is highly valued.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, strategic and capable of collaborating with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure successful bids and long-term project success.

Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for large electrical construction projects.

Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to develop accurate take-offs and proposals.

Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.

Manage preconstruction and bidding processes, including subcontractor/vendor outreach.

Maintain current knowledge of industry pricing, labor rates, and material costs.

Provide leadership and mentoring to junior estimating staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience estimating large electrical projects.

Strong background in transportation, healthcare, and university construction.

Experience with clean room and fabrication projects a plus.

Proficient in Trimble Accubid, Procore, and Premier software.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Ability to work within a union shop environment that values craftmanship, safety and integrity
