Job Description

Pride Health is hiring an Accessioner to support our client’s medical facility in Dublin. OH. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Accessioner

Location: Dublin. OH

Duration: 3 Months+

Pay rate: $17- $18.98 per hour (40 hr/week)

Schedule: 3RD SHIFT

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Summary:

The main function of an accessioner is responsible for process laboratory samples. They work with other laboratory employees to catalog patient specimens, like blood, urine, or tissue, for analysis. They mostly work with blood. Lab professionals carry out diagnosis and treatment based on the samples received.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and sort biological specimens (urine, hair, oral fluid, etc.) by source and work list

Receives and triages all specimens for clinical testing.

Manages clinical information within the LIMS database. Performs internal audits of clinical charts. Collaborates with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.

Understand and follow strict forensic procedures and chain-of-custody protocols

Independently process urine specimens for both regulated and non-regulated testing

Accurately scan and image all custody and control forms

Discard negative specimens in compliance with lab protocols

Maintain working knowledge of the QTN Lab Information System

Follow company policies, lab safety guidelines, and supervisor instructions

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Prior laboratory or specimen handling experience preferred

Strong computer literacy and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

Comfortable working in a lab environment with strict safety requirements
