Job Responsibilities

Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire property.

Ensure that rooms are made as per company standard.

Maintain all supplies, cleaning supplies, linen, and uniforms.

Organize inventories with Accounts for linen, uniform and fixed assets.

Pay particular attention while organizing pest eradication activities.

Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures

Prepare reports for management information.

Assist Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping.

Organize on-the job training and evaluate its effectiveness.

Assist the General Manager with the implementation of all SOPs for the department.

Recommend recruitment of new personnel.

Visually inspects Guest Rooms to ensure they are vacant/clean for arriving guest

Daily inspection of scope of work within the property - guestrooms, public areas and BOH areas

Daily briefing of department (daily standup).

Coordinating the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public area with maintenance department.

Manage labor by basing schedule off of occupancy and business need

Review time and attendance a minimum of once per week

Approve timecards prior to payroll processing

Coach & counsel Team Members when required

Job Requirements

Previous management experience

must be resourceful, highly self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, exceptional written/verbal communication skills, and be able to guide, coach and direct leaders, teams and individuals to achieve financial objectives

Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or related establishment preferred

Identification verifying you are at least 18 years of age

The ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

The ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs.)
