MFL Teacher (French and/or Spanish) – Flexible Supply Opportunity

Location: Chatham

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (until December 2025)

Pay: Paid to Scale (£163 – £223 per day depending on experience)

Supply Desk are currently supporting one of our valued partner secondary schools in Chatham, who are seeking a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher with a specialism in French and/or Spanish. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting as soon as possible and running until December 2025 in the first instance, with potential for extension or a permanent role.

We welcome applications from MFL specialists who are looking for flexible supply contracts or are open to long-term placements in supportive school environments.

The Role:

Full-time teaching commitment: Monday to Friday

Teaching French and/or Spanish to Key Stage 3 and 4

Delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, following school curriculum

Planning, preparing and marking in line with school expectations

Supporting students of all abilities and encouraging progress

Contributing to the wider school community and promoting core values

Ideal Candidate Will:

Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in teaching French and/or Spanish at KS3 and KS4

Be open to flexible or long-term supply arrangements

Have strong classroom management and excellent subject knowledge

Demonstrate a commitment to supporting student progress

Be positive, inclusive, and adaptable in their teaching approach

Hold a valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
