Stipend: $2,867

Position Summary:

Hayden Secondary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Theater Sponsor to lead our extracurricular theater program. This position provides students with opportunities to explore and develop an appreciation for theater, acting, and stage production. The sponsor will organize rehearsals, guide students in the basics of performance, and oversee at least one public performance during the school year.

Responsibilities:

Organize and lead afterschool and/or weekend rehearsals.

Teach students the fundamentals of theater, including acting, stage presence, and production basics.

Direct and coordinate at least one performance each school year.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that develops student interest and confidence in theater.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration regarding rehearsal schedules, performances, and program needs.

Collaborate with the Activities Director to ensure program goals and school policies are met.

Qualifications:

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Desire to help students develop a love for theater and the performing arts.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Experience working with youth preferred, but not required.

Previous theater or performance experience is a plus.

Compensation:

This extracurricular sponsor position provides a stipend of $2,867 for the school year.
