As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll leverage your expertise to design, develop, and deliver mechanical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will serve as a key technical leader, guiding projects from concept through execution, and acting as the primary interface with external customers.

In this role, you’ll report directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive engineering excellence, optimize processes, and support the launch of groundbreaking new products within Healthcare Sensor Solutions. Your contributions will directly impact innovation, efficiency, and the overall success of our programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and create detailed mechanical designs and specifications for new products and systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues that arise during the design, manufacturing, and installation phases, providing timely solutions to maintain project timelines.

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and assist in the installation of mechanical systems in accordance with project requirements.

• Assess and evaluate equipment and materials for suitability in projects, ensuring they meet performance and regulatory standards.

• Provide expert technical advice and support to internal teams and external customers, addressing inquiries and offering solutions related to mechanical design.

• Coordinate project activities, timelines, and resources, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

• Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, conducting necessary reviews and audits.

• Identify potential risks in design and project execution, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project success.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes and methodologies, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the team.

• Modify existing designs based on feedback, testing results, and changing project requirements to optimize performance and compliance.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

• 4+ years of experience in new product development within mechanical engineering
