Kitchen Supervisor Under the direction of the Director of Food & Nutrition Services, supervises, manages and develops food service employees' performance skills and serves as member of the resident care team.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all Food & Nutrition Services Department jobs and assists when necessary to assure smooth operation.

If required, assumes responsibility for some cooking shifts depending on Facility size or labor available.

DUTIES JOB KNOWLEDGE AND ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Assures menu is served as written, including adherence to recipes, correct portion sizes, and therapeutic diets.

2.Assures proper methods of food preparation are utilized to preserve nutrient content 3.Supervises food production, serving correct food to patients, controlling appearance, temperature, portion size, and sanitation.

4.Purchases food and supplies within approved budgets.

5.Instructs employees in use, care, and maintenance of equipment, housekeeping and safety standards, provides follow through on proper cleaning and maintenance programs.

6.Makes meal rounds and ensures all new admissions are visited.

7.Monitors all weekly costs associated with Dietary Department.

8.Completes all nutritional assessments for new admissions.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: 1.High School graduate or equivalent.

Serve Safe Certified 3.Possesses strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.

4.Possesses good communication skills and is patient and self-disciplined.

5.Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.

DUTIES JOB KNOWLEDGE AND ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Ensures the residents receive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, as needed.

2.Makes rounds upon entering the building each day.

3.Reviews all Accidents and Incidents (A/I) daily and develops an appropriate plan to prevent future accidents and incidents.

4.Participates in all screening processes prior to Admission and assesses items needed by the facility to meet resident needs.

5.Conducts periodic review to ensure all documentation is informative and descriptive of nursing care and of the resident's responses to care.

6.Participates in planning and budgeting for nursing services.

7.Completes the staffing schedule according to budgeted levels.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: 1.

Maintains a current, valid license as a registered nurse in good standing.

2.Four year degree in nursing preferred.

3.Possesses a minimum five (5) years of experience in nursing service administration.

Additional education or experience in such areas as rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.

4.Possesses strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.

Housekeeping Supervisor Full-time position with competitive wages and excellent benefit package.

DUTIES JOB KNOWLEDGE AND ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervises staff and assists in all aspects of cleaning and maintaining the facility interior and grounds; ensures residents' rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained in an attractive manner and that resident's personal items are safeguarded.

Ensures cleaning schedules are followed and coordinates daily housekeeping services with other departments.

* Develops long range, short range, and daily plans for the housekeeping service of the facility.

* Supervises housekeeping personnel and schedules adequate coverage.

Assigns duties and evaluates work performance, as necessary.

* Prepares requisitions for all necessary supplies and equipment and submits these to the Administrator with an emphasis on inventory control.

* Develops and maintains a schedule of detailing resident rooms, including the ability to refinish flooring throughout the facility (stripping & waxing), ability to adjust to changing needs with respect to discharges and admissions * Ability to work a varied schedule when needed including nights, weekends, holidays, evenings QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: 1.High School graduate preferred.

2.Prior experience in a related field is required.

3.Proven ability to supervise others, lead a team and work in a cohesive environment.
