The principle function of this position is to provide instructional assistance to students. The position works with both individual and small groups of students to increase learning skills and levels; ability to work with students experiencing academic or behavior difficulties. The work is performed under the supervision of a classroom teacher, special education teacher and the building principal. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent AND successful completion of a minimum of 32 academic core college semester credits that will lead to a Bachelors Degree OR must pass the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment Test.
