For more information, please visit This is a tenure-track 9-month faculty position (with reduced course load and a research start-up package). Primary duties will include teaching courses; serving as the lead faculty member in Cyber Forensics for the new Computer Science program; mentoring and advising students; developing innovative courses and establishing a state-of-the-art cyber forensics laboratory; collaborating with faculty to elevate the research profile of the School of Engineering.

A reduced teaching load will be given and additional course buyouts may be given if tied to grant funding.

A research start-up package will also be provided upon hire.

Duties also include developing an externally funded research program; establishing a research lab that will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research, instruction, and collaboration with industry, government, and academic partners; and providing service to the School, college, and university.

This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

The School of Engineering offers ABET-accredited programs in Systems, Computer, and Petroleum Engineering and will launch a multidisciplinary MS in Systems Engineering in Fall 2026.

Faculty numbers have seen remarkable growth alongside thriving enrollment and program expansion.

Required Qualifications The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D.

in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Applicants nearing completion of their Ph.D.

will be considered if the degree is awarded before the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Candidates must demonstrate potential to publish in top venues, engage in interdisciplinary research, and teach cyber forensics courses within the curriculum.

We strongly encourage candidates with expertise in Cyber Forensics and be able to establish and lead a state-of-the-art forensic laboratory.

Flexible sub-areas include digital, network, or memory forensics; mobile device forensics; malware analysis; and digital evidence forensics.

Experience in cryptography and interdisciplinary collaboration is a plus.
