Position Overview:
The Fifth Grade Teacher will provide engaging and rigorous instruction aligned to Ohio Learning Standards. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, collaborative, and committed to creating a classroom culture that promotes student growth, respect, and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver daily instruction in all core subject areas (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies)
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
Integrate technology and hands-on learning opportunities into lessons
Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment
Collaborate with grade-level team members, support staff, and administration
Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
Participate in professional development and district initiatives
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license (Elementary Education, Middle Childhood, or appropriate licensure)
Bachelor's degree in Education
Strong knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards
Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
