Electrical Engineer

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This is a hands-on role supporting plant operations in Rittman, OH, with a strong focus on leading CAPEX projects, troubleshooting equipment, and managing contractors. The ideal candidate will bring practical manufacturing experience, PLC expertise, and a commitment to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient systems.

In this role, you will

Lead and manage capital projects, from specifying materials to overseeing installations within scope and budget

Troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, and control systems (Allen Bradley preferred)

Support electrical systems from 12V to 480V, including industrial power distribution and controls

Manage contractors, ensuring safety, quality, and project standards are met

Perform diagnostics to minimize downtime and improve reliability

Ensure adherence to plant safety protocols and regulatory requirements

Provide operational support for plant systems as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Controls

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting (target 5-8 years)

Proven success leading CAPEX projects and installations

Hands-on expertise with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and power systems

Experience with industrial controls and VFDs

Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills with a practical, results-oriented approach

Contractor management experience with a focus on safety and results
