Position Overview
The Director of Learning & Development (L&D) will be responsible for building and leading Gifthealth's enterprise-wide learning strategy. This leader will design, implement, and scale programs that drive employee onboarding, professional growth, leadership development, and compliance training across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can also execute hands-on, with deep expertise in learning design, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
This role will collaborate closely with executive leadership, functional managers, and frontline teams to ensure Gifthealth employees have the tools, resources, and skills they need to succeed in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
How You'll Help Us Improve Healthcare
Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy that supports business goals and drives employee performance, engagement, and retention.
Build and oversee core learning programs including onboarding, compliance, leadership development, technical training, and career pathways.
Partner with leaders across Patient Care, Pharmacy, Operations, Technology, and Corporate functions to assess training needs and create scalable solutions.
Introduce innovative learning methods (e.g., blended learning, e-learning, microlearning, coaching, and experiential learning) that meet the needs of a diverse workforce.
Establish consistent training standards, tools, and resources while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Create metrics, dashboards, and feedback loops to measure learning effectiveness and business impact, using insights to improve program design.
Build and lead a high-performing L&D team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Ensure all training aligns with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal policies.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational development, change management, and talent strategies.
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Talent Management, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide learning strategies, preferably in healthcare, technology, or other regulated industries.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and digital learning platforms.
Proven ability to build partnerships with senior leaders and influence organizational direction.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills; able to engage employees at all levels.
Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating learning outcomes and ROI.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Education, Organizational Development, HR, or related field preferred.
Certifications in instructional design, leadership development, or learning technologies are a plus.
