Litigation Associate (Mid-Level)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and criminal litigation, with experience in managing cases from inception through trial. This role requires excellent writing and analytical skills, as well as a commitment to client advocacy and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of litigation matters, including civil and criminal cases.

Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and evidence gathering.

Engage in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.

Review and analyze documents related to ongoing cases and prepare summaries for senior attorneys.

Advocate for clients in court and through other legal channels, ensuring their interests are represented effectively.

Collaborate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.

Stay current with changes in laws and regulations affecting litigation practices.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Active MD state bar membership.

3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in both civil and criminal law.

Strong writing and communication skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality legal documents.

Experience with case management and trial preparation processes.

Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Strong negotiation and client advocacy skills.
