We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and lively individuals to join our team as part-time Childcare Assistants in the Before and/or After School Program at Cushing Community School in Cushing, ME.

PAY: $14.65 per hour

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Support fun, hands-on activities that align with our Healthy Kids Curriculum—think fitness, STEAM projects, academic exploration, creative arts, and more! You’ll also lend a hand with homework when needed.

Foster a safe, healthy, and super-fun environment where children can learn and grow. Be a positive role model they’ll admire every day.

Keep in touch with families through the Playground App, sharing updates and sweet moments that brighten their day.

Follow OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school procedures to keep everything running smoothly and safely.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

You’re 18 or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience working with children under 13 is a big plus, but not required—we value your passion and potential just as much!

You’ve been cleared by your doctor—you're physically able to meet the demands of the job and free from communicable illnesses, including TB.

You’re friendly, upbeat, and great with people—whether it’s engaging with kids, chatting with parents, or collaborating with teammates. You’re also dependable, professional, and punctual.

You’re comfortable bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. Whatever it takes to stay active and involved with the kids!
