Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Senior Tax Analyst through October 3rd, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (Buenos Aires Time).
Main responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Tax returns preparation/supports the filing of tax returns.
Tax determination on customers billing.
Understanding of regulations and business an accounting acumen.
Supporting internal and external audits.
ERP/tax applications and databases maintenance.
Main Activities:
Manage most complex account reconciliations. Address corrective measures that may also impact other teams. Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L, B/S, payments).
Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes.
Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed.
Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions.
Review Chevron customers’ taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance.
Leads, coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures.
Required Qualification/Soft Skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or tax.
Combination of +6 years of tax accounting, finance and/or audit experience Excellent oral/written English skills.
Fluent in ERP/Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP).
Preferred qualifications:
US or International Direct and Indirect tax experience.
Soft skills: coordination/Leadership skills.
Analytical skills and critical thinking.
Able to adapt processes in response to a fast-paced environment.
