The Opportunity
We are looking for a results driven Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the strategic and financial objectives of the DuBois group.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is a fundamental part of the Finance Team and is a fantastic opportunity for a high-energy, attention to detail, Accounting professional. Duties include:
Complete relevant Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations
Responsible for the month end process and delivery of accurate month-end reporting and identifying any risk and opportunities
Manage the year end tax and audit process
Collecting and Analysing Data in preparation of weekly and monthly reports
Ensure all company statutory obligations are met (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax)
Examining and reviewing financial records to check for accuracy
Manage the company cashflow
Assist all staff with financial related queries
Manage and provide guidance and support to Assistant Accountants, Accounts Payable Officer, Credit Controller, Purchasing Officers and Receptionist
Management of Company Fixed Asset register and reporting requirements
Management of Company Insurance policies
Management of Company bank accounts
Ad-hoc projects as and when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualified
Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
Strong analytical & investigative approach
Experience in systems development
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Ability to set priorities, plan work schedules and meet deadlines
Effectively manage the Business Services Team, with the ability to lead, mentor and develop staff
Able to work with minimal supervision
Advanced Excel skills
