Job Summary:
Our growing Finance & Accounting Team seeks an Accounting Manager to assist with our monthly and annual consolidated financial reporting requirements. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and implementing efficient processes and controls.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.
Lead month-end close and financial statement preparation including journal entry review and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain financial reporting systems.
Implement/document processes and controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Partner with company controller to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Provide cross functional support to leadership throughout the organization to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies.
Partner with FP&A to perform ad-hoc financial and operational analyses as needed.
Actively participate in implementation of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central.
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the Government contracting industry.
Minimum 2 years of team leadership/management experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP required.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central a plus, QuickBooks experience helpful.
Demonstrated experience with process improvement and documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to proactively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Current or previous experience with a federal government contractor and/or technology companies preferred.
Previous public accounting experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government-issued security clearance.
Must be willing to work full time in our office. May alternate schedule between Leesburg and Vienna, Virginia locations.
