Job Summary: In collaboration with Building A Generation, the Therapist (referred to as Practicum Supervisor (PS)) serves as the on-site supervisor for MSW (Master of Social Work) and CMHC (Clinical Mental Health Counseling) Interns who have been placed at the organization for their practicum experience. Through the advanced practice practicum, the PS will facilitate Interns’ learning in applying theories of trauma, grief and loss, cognitive behavioral treatment, family systems theory and addictions in practice. The PS will NOT be conducting therapy directly with clients. The PS will provide official supervision of Interns during practicum ensuring that they are learning and applying a developmental lens for engaging, assessing, intervening and evaluating progress with clients.

Duties:

· Supervise interns in their fieldwork, overseeing the entire range of field experience.

· Ensure interns’ activities are meeting field education objectives.

· Maintain regular contact with the intern and Building A Generation’s supervisors involved in the internship.

· Formally meet with each Intern at least one hour a week for direct supervision (or based on contracted universities requirements).

· Work collaboratively with organization to assist Interns in meeting organization and contracted university requirements.

· Work directly with university faculty liaisons to ensure Interns meet all practicum requirements.

· Provide ongoing feedback, supervise, teach, and assess student acquisition of knowledge, skills, and values as they pertain to the Curriculum and as required of contracted universities.

· Assist in training of Interns regarding organization policies, procedures and guidelines.

· Develop a student learning plan in collaboration with each student and organization based upon the criteria established by each respective university’s program.

· Work with the organization to ensure that for practicum hours, Interns are engaged in direct service-related activities to maximize student skills development in working with clients, groups and communities.

· Observe Interns in their direct practice as required by respective contracted university.

· Provide individually and group meetings regularly as required throughout the practicum to provide individual feedback and guidance.

· Meet all other requirements established by each respective contracted university’s program.

· Responsible for confirming, signing, and submitting student timesheets.

· Responsible for completing student evaluations.

· Bring concerns about student’s progress to Building A Generation and respective University’s faculty liaison.

Skills Qualification:

· LCSW degree required

· General supervision experience required

· Therapy experience required

· Outstanding verbal communication, reflective listening, engaging and coaching skills

· Extremely organized, meet deadlines, and excellent documentation skills

Hourly rate: $40-$50/hour– Position is part time (approximately 15hr/week for supervising 2-3 Interns). Annual contract (with possibility of an extension) is approximately 9 employing months; employing months aligned with traditional school fall and spring semester and starts in August 2025. Supervision hours (onsite in Redlands area) will be coordinated with organization and Interns. Touch base meetings will be onsite. Other meetings may be hybrid. No benefits are included with this position.
