The Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of core IT infrastructure and cloud services across the organization and partner groups. This role oversees backup and disaster recovery, virtualization, networking, security, monitoring, and endpoint/device management, aligning operations with ITIL practices and healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC2, etc.).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Core Operations & Infrastructure
Manage server, storage, and virtualization environments (VM provisioning, resizing, deprovisioning).
Administer file shares, NAS permissions, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network port configurations.
Oversee certificate management (SSL/TLS/S/MIME) from request through installation/renewal.
Ensure endpoint and device lifecycle management, including OS reimaging, remote wipe, and secure retirement.
Coordinate with telecom vendors and manage phone/fax/voicemail systems, number porting, and call flows.
Cloud & Disaster Recovery
Administer cloud-based services and integrations (Azure/M365, Intune, Endpoint Central).
Define and maintain backup/snapshot policies and ensure recovery testing (VM/file/share/DB).
Lead disaster recovery (DR) exercises and failover events, ensuring compliance with recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO/RPO).
Manage VPN peers, firewall rule changes, QoS, and traffic prioritization.
Security & Monitoring
Oversee monitoring tools and alerting thresholds to ensure proactive detection of issues.
Manage Cisco Secure Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) and coordinate security patching and update workflows.
Work closely with Security & Compliance to implement infrastructure security policies and participate in risk remediation.
Leadership & Governance
Serve as the accountable lead in the RACI for Infrastructure & Cloud Ops service lanes.
Participate in the Change Management process, ensuring proper risk assessment, documentation, and approvals.
Mentor IT staff and provide escalation support for complex technical issues.
Partner with other IT service lane leads (Identity, Endpoints, Security, Clinical Systems) to ensure end-to-end service delivery.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years in infrastructure/cloud operations with leadership or senior engineer experience.
Expertise with VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, and core networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Endpoint Central, and enterprise backup/replication solutions (Veeam).
Familiarity with healthcare IT environments and HIPAA security requirements strongly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage incidents under pressure.
Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to interface effectively with executives, peers, and end users.
