Job Description
A Chambers ranked firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its International Trade Compliance (ITC) practice. The team counsels multinational corporations, defense contractors, and technology companies on export controls, economic sanctions, and cross-border transactions. Associates work on matters ranging from voluntary disclosures and compliance program design to navigating complex investigations and reviews by U.S. government agencies.
About the Role
We are looking for candidates with 1–8 years of trade compliance experience, ideally with a strong background in:
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Foreign Assets Control (sanctions) regulations
Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) regulations
Preferred Experience
Investigating and drafting voluntary disclosures
Developing and implementing compliance policies
Prior in-house or government experience is a plus
