ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior Nuclear Quality Engineer for Flowserve is key to ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality and reliable products that meet all Nuclear industry, Customer and company requirements. The person in this role will need to lead informally and collaborate with associates in Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial Operations, Project Management and Manufacturing in managing orders and the flow of products from suppliers, through our factory, and delivery to the Customer. As well as being in charge of the site’s Nuclear QMS and be the Lead Auditor. This person will also facilitate problem solving sessions across all functional areas in the company, in addition to supporting our internal non-conformance disposition processes. The Senior Nuclear Quality Engineer needs to bring strong experience and industry-specific knowledge to support a critical segment of Flowserve’s business.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Support quality cultural change in the facility aligned with Flowserve values & behaviors.
Lead Nuclear Quality Management System at the site.
Lead Nuclear audit program (external, supplier, internal).
Partner with all functional areas to assure Nuclear Quality compliance in the site.
Work with a proactive approach to assure QMS compliance.
Support Customer Experience per Corporate Guidelines.
Facilitate and coach Problem Solving (RCA/CA/PA) related to Nuclear business for the facility.
Engage in Nuclear Project specification reviews and ITP development.
Nuclear Project Quality Document oversight.
Support Nuclear Customer Complaints /escapes problem solving and be able to present results to customers.
Ensure Nuclear Approved Vendor List (AVL) is managed properly and partner with Supplier Quality teams to manage suppliers performance.
Provide site training as required on Nuclear Safety Culture and other Quality topics.
Lead and support any Quality audits.

Interact with nuclear customers and suppliers on quality issues plus resolution of any problems within process and final product acceptance.
Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with a wide variety of customers including both internal and external to Flowserve. Communicate effectively with associates at all levels, from the factory floor to executives at Flowserve and Customers.
Be able to perform and coach others in data analysis and perform root cause analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering field (manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical)
5 years experience of demonstrated success leading or working in a nuclear quality program that meets the requirements of ASME BPVC, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1, as well as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19443.
Previous experience in metal-mechanic industries or similar business.
Knowledge ASME BPVC, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1, as well as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19443 (or AREB and NCPIL qualifications).
Skilled in Team Oriented Problem Solving (RCA/CA/PA tools, able to teach and coach).
NQA-1 Lead Auditor
Familiar with Commercial Grade Dedication and material upgrade requirements.
ISO 9001:2015 auditing experience.
Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
Skilled in process mapping and risk assessment (PFMEA preferably).
Experience in Quality Software Systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
English bilingual, business conversation.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
8D Problem Solving or A3 expert.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer
Supplier Quality Management Experience .
Percentage of Approximate Travel Required: up to 10%
