Job Description
Lead Automotive Service Advisor
Bavarian Motor Repairs, LLC – Capitol Heights, MD
I'm Andrew, the owner of Bavarian Motor Repairs, LLC, located in Capitol Heights, MD.
I've been where you are.
I've worked every position in the industry over the last 26 years.
What makes this position so great?
First: This is a rare opening due to plans for our current manager/service advisor to retire.
Second: Competitive pay $95,000–$150,000+ annually, benefits, access to company-owned beach houses, and a 4-day work week.
Third: I've personally felt the pain and thrills that came with every role. I've removed the losses and increased the wins, set a standard of excellence, and defined the vision and mission of why we show up—every single day. No more working toward an unattainable goal.
NOTE: If you don't have experience running an 8-person, $2.0MM+ per year revenue shop, please DO NOT apply (you will not be considered). We are only reviewing candidates with strong customer service experience while meeting company standards for performance.
Your new position will be with Bavarian Motor Repairs, LLC, an industry-leading, professional BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and MINI repair facility located in Capitol Heights, MD. We are seeking a world-class, passionate, and experienced Lead Automotive Service Advisor to guide a team of 8 professional technicians, parts, and support staff.
What to Expect
An organized shop with defined roles, task lists, and written examples of how to accomplish them successfully. No more wondering who does what, when, and how—just structure, a standard of excellence, and a clear mission of what success looks like.
Accountability from every team member is a cornerstone of our daily lives. We lower our defensive walls and come to every discussion with accountability, so our focus is always on solutions. Our shop is aligned and moving in the same direction.
Clients who love and respect you.
Technicians and support staff who go out of their way to present pictures/videos of testing and repairs to ensure the best client relationships possible.
An atmosphere that feels more like a coffee shop, where great people are collaborating on world-class automotive service.
Do the following traits define you?
You're charismatic, an active listener, and task-focused. You reflect on when things go well—or when they’re challenging—and continually look for ways to grow and do better. You connect and bond with people almost instantly, building trust within minutes. You stand out in your role (or goal) of being a Lead Automotive Service Advisor/Shop Manager. You're eager to learn with a team that supports you. You understand that leadership is about helping those around you grow, not micromanaging. You'll join the team in practicing Emotional Intelligence (EQ)—if you aren’t already.
Our mission every day is to Improve, Uplift, and Serve. The goal of this position is to ensure every client understands and feels you are there to guide them to an informed decision. This is not a "sales" job. We are people serving people. We are all hungry to grow as individuals, and we ask that you are, too.
You’ll be working with a group that will provide every opportunity to achieve high sales goals, great client relationships, and a fine-tuned process that can be duplicated daily.
We have an excellent customer base of enthusiastic BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce owners, professional ongoing training, and organized systems and processes to maximize efficiency and provide clarity.
We work efficiently and are currently on a Monday–Thursday schedule (4-day weeks), providing up to 72 additional days off per year.
