Job Title: Project Manager – Steel Industry
Location: West Islip, NY Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year (commensurate with experience) Job Type: Full-TimePosition Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with a background in the steel fabrication industry. This role involves overseeing multiple projects from contract award through final completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all phases of steel fabrication projects.
Interpret and work from contract and shop drawings.
Perform material and labor takeoffs.
Make light corrections to shop drawings using AutoCAD or Tekla.
Communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, engineers, and architects.
Create and manage RFIs, submittals, transmittals, change orders, and estimates.
Attend site visits and subcontractor meetings.
Lead field meetings and ensure project timelines are met.
Prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or 5+ years of experience in steel fabrication.
Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong understanding of steel detailing and fabrication processes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.Benefits
