JOB TITLE: Accounting Coordinator Non-exempt Position

LOCATION: Memphis, TN DEPARTMENT: Accounting

POSITION PURPOSE

Hardy Beverage is seeking an accounting coordinator who is energetic, organized, and results oriented to assist the Hardy Beverage team in day-to-day accounting activities for the business. This individual must be ambitious, self-motivated and have a passion to work with an emerging company. The coordinator will support month-end accounting for financial reporting. The coordinator will comply with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting concepts to ensure accurate financial reporting and proper safeguarding of Company assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a list that describes the duties to be performed by The Accounting Coordinator in the accounting department including (This list is not all inclusive):

· Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents.

· Ensures all sales are invoiced by matching to inventory delivery or purchase invoices

· Insures that accounts receivables are collected in a timely manner

· Audits invoices by tracing to documentation of customer invoice

· Ensures all invoices are paid in a timely manner

· Completes Tax rebates from tire manufacturers

· Updates and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).

· Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs (SAP)

· Compiles data and prepare a variety of reports.

· Reconciles bank statements and inventory reports

· Reconciles cash receipts and invoices to system reports

· Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.

· Investigates questionable data, invoices, or purchases

· Utilizes Hardy Beverage customer system for all accounting activities

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND COMPENTENCIES

· A 2-year associate degree in finance or general accounting is a plus.

· 5 years previous experience as an account payable, billing clerk or accounts receivables.

· The ability to exercise professional judgment to protect confidential company information.

· Previous experience developing and compiling accounting reports

· Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

· Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.

· Attention to detail

· Ability to multi-task is an asset.
