Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, configure, and maintain robotic systems (e.g., Motoman, ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa) used in energy storage and EV production
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic cells and automation equipment
Support robotic integration with conveyors, tooling, welding, painting, and material handling systems
Adjust programming for process changes, tooling modifications, and production optimization
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to improve robotic cell performance
Maintain accurate service records, PM logs, and troubleshooting documentation
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and industry standards
Train operators and maintenance personnel on robotic equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
KEY SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and automation controls
Mechanical aptitude for working with actuators, end-effectors, and robotic tooling
Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Background in battery manufacturing, EV assembly, or energy storage production
Experience with vision systems, laser welding, dispensing, or automated testing equipment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods
