Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will support attorneys in all stages of litigation, from initial case investigation through trial preparation and appeal. This role requires paying great attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation including discovery, document review, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial support.
Documentation review for discovery.
Organize and maintain case files and pleadings, both electronically and physically.
Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and other case-related documents.
Coordinate with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel.
Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and demonstrative evidence.
Monitor court deadlines and manage calendars to ensure timely filings.
Proofread documents before serving/filing.
Serving as back up for answering Firm telephone.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal in Florida.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and civil procedures.
Proficient in legal software and case management systems (e.g., Clio, Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Not prone to making typos.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
