Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Buyer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods, materials, and services that support the companys operational objectives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in negotiating mid-size contracts with complex requirements, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and timely delivery. You will collaborate directly with internal teams and external vendors to maintain a consistent and efficient supply chain.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Procure and expedite specified commodities from suppliers based on operational requirements
Work within a multi-site, multi-product line environment managing over 1,000 items
Monitor and maintain inventory levels with offsite vendors to ensure production readiness
Support production scheduling by proactively identifying materials shortages and minimizing delays
Analyze business system reports to plan and execute material and supply purchases
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes, considering quality, cost, and alternatives
Drive cost reduction initiatives through material substitutions and vendor negotiations
Monitor vendor performance to improve delivery, quality, and service metrics
Collect and analyze procurement data to support planning and decision-making
Align supplier capabilities with operational needs and product requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of supply chain functions including procurement, demand planning, and sourcing
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Experience with large-scale ERP systems; NetSuite highly preferred
Proven ability to reduce lead times and improve purchasing efficiency
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Understanding of international sourcing is a plus
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
Solid understanding of purchasing practices and supply chain principles
Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
