Job Title: Senior Industrial Engineer

Location: La Porte, IN

Direct Hire

Reports into the Director of Engineering and Maintenance

Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the facilities and their evolution and development, including new installation design and implementation.

Tasks / Essential Duties

1. Design and implement building modifications and new equipment additions, including all legal proceedings such as permit acquisition and modification.

2. Design and implement equipment installations.

3. Design and implement modification of current installations.

4. Design and implement utilities layout and distribution, including plumbing and power.

5. Solicit bids from and select subcontractors for the above implementations.

6. Assist Maintenance Manager, Process Engineer, and Production Manager, especially in facilities-related management and problem solving.

7. Attend all required meetings.

8. Maintain files for subcontractor bids, project budgeting, etc.

9. Reduce subcontracting costs while maintaining quality through judicious selection.

10. Assure the on-time and within-budget completion of all projects.

11. Follow all relevant policies and procedures

12. Other related duties as assigned

Education: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field

Qualifications Required

1. Minimum 5 years engineering experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Negotiation skills, recommended experience.

2. Recommended familiarity with plastics production

3. Technical drawing ability

4. Good communication skills required, including active listening and effective speaking.

5. Team Oriented: Ability to demonstrate cooperation and support.

6. High safety and cleanliness standards
