Overview

SOOP (Service Opportunities with our Partners) – Short & Long-Term Service Assignments with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Manitoba. MCC’s SOOP program connects Manitobans with both short-term and extended service placements across Canada—from food bank support and soup kitchen duties to farm and home repair work.

These service assignments are tailored for adults 25 and older (individuals or families) and range from two weeks to two months, providing meaningful, hands-on community engagement in line with MCC’s core mission of service.

What you do

Engage in short-term and extended service placements across Canada (food bank support, soup kitchen duties, farm and home repair work, and related community-based projects).

Receive orientation and work alongside local partners to contribute directly to community-based projects.

Participate in flexible, relational placements that may involve travel as part of the experience.

Who should apply

Open to Manitobans 25 years and older (individuals or families) seeking meaningful volunteer service aligned with MCC’s mission.
