The role is based out of our Victoria office and requires five days in the office per week.

Responsibilities

Lead the Victoria region and oversee all aspects of Brokerage services, driving new business and growth in market share. Be market- and client-facing, participating in industry and local community groups/events and building client relationships.

Drive recruitment, retention, and long-term succession planning; act as an ambassador of Colliers’ culture and engage the Victoria and surrounding offices as a priority while growing the region.

Provide leadership across pillars of responsibility: Leadership, Recruitment & Retention, Business Development, Market Identity, and Professional Coaching.

Manage the region’s business plan with clear, measurable goals; motivate sales professionals to achieve office and individual targets.

Deliver feedback and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders; organize and lead regular sales meetings; encourage innovation to increase revenue.

Recruit current and future top performers to grow the office/market; set and meet annual recruitment and retention targets.

Assess team members, address gaps, plan for succession for key positions, and expand the business through regular client contact.

Identify cross-sell opportunities across service lines and collaborate with stakeholders to secure business.

Engage in local, regional, and national organizations to grow the business, increase market identity, and recruit top talent.

With the Operations Manager, build highly engaged, collaborative teams capable of driving the business forward; mitigate business risk to minimize exposure.

Plan budgets/forecasts with Operations; support and partner with Operations, Research, and Marketing teams at staff meetings and events; promote development of all Colliers business lines.

Fulfill Broker of Record duties in applicable jurisdictions.

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree (minimum education requirement).

At least 10 years of experience as a real estate leader or in a sales/real estate organization with extensive exposure to Commercial Real Estate Brokers (agents).

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and consensus-building skills.

Highest level of business ethics with integrity, credibility, and commitment to the company’s mission; understanding market cycles and setting short- and long-term strategies.

Proven ability to operate and grow a profitable business unit; experience in professional services operations management with change management.

Ability to foster leadership and growth in others; team-oriented with strong relationship-building capabilities in a cohesive business environment.

Real Estate License is required.
