Engineering & Maintenance Manager (Food Manufacturing) – Huntley, IL

Base Salary: $130,000–$160,000/year

Schedule: Full-time, on-site

A fast-growing, international food ingredients manufacturer is opening a brand-new plant in the Huntley area and looking for a hands-on Engineering & Maintenance Manager who's ready to help build from the ground up.What you'll do:

Lead all plant engineering and maintenance activities—install and commission new production equipment, oversee contractors, and set up preventive maintenance programs.

Build, coach, and support a small but mighty technical team.

Be the go-to for continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and operational excellence.

Make sure we're safe, efficient, and fully up-to-code (think food safety, regulatory compliance, OSHA, etc.).

Roll up your sleeves! This is a startup facility—big impact and visible results from day one.About you:

10+ years' experience in a food, flavor, or beverage manufacturing plant—engineering, maintenance, or project management roles.

At least 5 years leading teams in a plant environment.

Strong with plant commissioning, automation/PLC, troubleshooting, and project management.

Bachelor's (or higher) in mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering, or a related field.

You love building things, take pride in optimizing equipment, and aren't afraid to jump in wherever needed.What we offer:
