POSITION SUMMARY
The Beverage Cart Attendant/Server Is responsible for food and beverage service on the golf course, stocking car and replenishing, managing daily inventory on concession cart, and providing quality customer service. They will also be responsible for serving guests by providing courteous and efficient service that meets or exceeds the guest’s dining expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Stock beverage cart on a continuous basis with items according to established departmental guidelines
Drive beverage cart across/around golf courses
Greet each golf group in a positive manner
Promote sales/upsell beverage cart items
Accommodate special guest requests
Keep beverage cart clean and sanitary at all times
Responsible for recording accurate sales, properly handling transactions, and daily cash drops that will be reflected in periodic audit banks
Record items removed from cooler on inventory sheets provided
Maintain an inventory sheet that reflects daily sales.
Enter sales in POS system accurately
Properly report Tips received daily
Clean up beverage carts and ready for next use – restocking to PAR levels provided
Properly dispose of any trash
Supports a strong commitment to provide excellent guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for snack bar patrons.
Completes training requirements and follows service standards as trained.
Greet guests promptly and courteously.
Understands and executes established procedures for verifying guest’s ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from overindulging.
Learn all menus and can communicate all food and beverage offerings.
Prepare guest orders as needed, to include sandwiches, hot dogs, etc.
Effectively uses suggestive selling techniques while taking guest orders.
Records and prepares food and beverage orders, enters orders into the computer system, and safely delivers orders to guests.
Monitors and addresses guest needs during meal.
Collects monies owed for food and beverages and properly performs all guest check accountability procedures.
Performs tip declaration activities
Performs daily cleaning activities, and all open and closing checklist items as may be appropriate with your assigned shift.
Performs food running and station set-up / break-down responsibilities as assigned.
Flexibility with work schedule and availability to meet business demands.
Performs any other duties, assignments and responsibilities as requested.
Follow all health department rules and regulations for food prep and sanitation requirements
Provide your own cash bank (suggested amount $100-$150 in change and small bills)
OTHER FUNCTIONS
The Beverage Cart Attendant/Server may also:
Be required to stand, sit, walk and occasionally to lift up to 25 pounds
Provide your own cash bank (suggested amount $100 in change and mixed denomination bills)
Perform other duties as required by management
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education/Credentials:
Must be able to drive a golf cart
High School education or equivalent experience
Local and state required license(s)
Ability to work outdoors in all-weather climates
Good interpersonal skills, enjoy working with people
Good mathematical, cash-handling skills
Experience:
Must be outgoing, friendly and enjoy interaction with patrons/guests
Flexibility with work schedule and availability to meet business demand
Ability to calculate figures and make change
Knowledge of proper dining service procedures
Maintain appearance, attire, and hygiene standards
Follow established sanitary practices of hand washing and handling of service ware
Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Beverage Cart Attendant/Server works inside and outside in different weather conditions, which vary across locations. This is a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions. The position requires standing for extended periods. The schedule includes holidays and weekends and may be changed as needed to meet demand.
