Engineering Technician
We are looking for a dedicated Engineering Technician to join our team, specializing in supporting the production and quality assurance of large robotic systems. You will be responsible for completing build and shipping checklists, performing quality inspections, and documenting accepted defects. Additionally, you will set up build workstations and engage in the mechanical and electrical assembly of robotic systems and subsystems.
Responsibilities
Serve as Quality Inspector for large robotic systems, completing build and shipping checklists.
Perform incoming quality inspections and document any accepted defects.
Set up build workstations, including toolkits.
Engage in mechanical and electrical assembly for robotic systems and subsystems.
Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for work instructions based on build experiences and feedback.
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering leads and attend ECO reviews.
Potential to grow into an ECO approver for the RPC team.
Opportunity to complete Solidworks part, assembly, and drawing updates as part of ECOs.
Essential Skills
Experience with engineering and prototype development.
Familiarity with robotic systems and capital equipment.
Proficiency in inspection and electromechanical assembly.
Ability to use hand tools and assemble large equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics preferred.
Open to Electrical Engineering degree holders with strong hands-on aptitude.
Bonus skills include commissioning tasks and Solidworks proficiency.

This is a Contract position based out of Billerica, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $50.00/hr.
