Position Summary:
Franklin University, a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio invites applicants for its Student Affairs Systems and Communications Coordinator position. The Student Affairs Systems and Communication Coordinator reports directly to the Manager, SA Sys & Ops (SM). This position is primarily responsible for supporting the CRM and executing the communication strategy for current students across multiple platforms. The Student Affairs Systems and Communication Coordinator will develop close working relationships with key leaders on teams that interact with the CRM including Admissions, Community College Alliance, Student Financial Services, Academic Operations & Support Services, Marketplace, Office of International Students and Programs, Advancement, Marketing, Call & Welcome Center, and IT. Coordinator performs builds and tasks for Academic Advising, Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, Center for Career Development, Learning Commons, Accreditation, Registrar, Partnerships, Faculty, Student Life, Office of Accessibility Services, Dean of Students, and Title IX.
This role will work an onsite hybrid schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Slate Management:
Assist the SM in identifying staff efficiencies through the use of technology
Responsible for data integrity within CRM
Monitor incoming troubleshooting requests and escalate to SM when necessary
Build and execute large mailings
Management of Slate inboxes
Manages events and forms in Slate to support Department of Student Affairs (DSA) initiatives
Performs builds and tasks for non-DSA teams
Special projects and other duties as assigned
Student Communication:
Builds and executes CRM ad-hoc communications through creation of content blocks, conditional logic, and email templates
Creation of original content for current student campaigns such as per term inspirational emails.
Develop CRM solutions to increase departmental communication efficiencies such as Liquid Looping, CSS/HTML, and dynamic content
Responsible for executing annual email communications and maintaining communications calendar.
Assist departments within Student Affairs to develop and implement communication strategies
Develop and edit content for the Current Student Blog, News, and Events pages
Maintain necessary email campaigns to comply with Higher Learning Commission accreditation requirements
Build and execute emergency communication for special circumstances such as disaster communications and University closures
Training:
Update and maintain CRM documentation, including training documents
Provide CRM training to new employees
Collaboration:
Attend meetings and committees as CRM Subject Matter Expert
Communicates system upgrades/fixes to DSA end-users
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree plus 1-2 years of experience in CRM.
Strong interpersonal, organization, prioritization and communication skills.
Results-oriented, goal driven, and collaborative team orientation.
Clear student-centered philosophy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Characteristics:
Experience and knowledge in running queries, editing mailings, and creating basic mailings for student-staff interaction and communication development
Understanding of Student Information Systems (Colleague experience preferred).
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Additional Notes:
Position will require flexible schedule to cover the priorities of the department. Occasional evening and weekend hours maybe be required.
