As a Senior Mammography Technologist, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while using the latest technology in breast imaging. Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Graduate of an approved program of Mammography Technology
Licenses/Certifications:
Current or temporary Texas Medical Board License (MRT) – Required
Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) – Required
Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M) – Required
Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ACLS)
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients safely as part of daily responsibilitiesResponsibilities
Perform high-quality mammography exams while ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards
Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort throughout imaging
Enter and manage patient data in the imaging system
Conduct quality assurance checks on mammography equipment; assist with accreditation processes (ACR and others)
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, incidents, or patient concerns
Take emergency call assignments within the department
Ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety in line with organizational standards
Support professional growth by serving as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced technologists
