WHAT IS THE JOB?

As Senior Associate, Creative Traffic, you'll pull the metaphorical balloons together for the Creative Team to keep projects on track, people aligned, and creative energy focused in the right places. This team serves a highly collaborative, multi-channel business, between retail stores, e-commerce, wholesale, catalog, and special events. The role will act as air-traffic controller to ensure that creative requests are clear, priorities are understood, deadlines are met, and assets move smoothly from concept through delivery. Success in this role goes beyond organization - it's also about judgment. You'll apply knowledge of our business rhythms and brand nuances to be able to ask the right questions, spot missing information, and anticipate needs before they become roadblocks. You'll help translate requests into actionable creative assignments and work closely with functional leads in Graphic Design, Copywriting, and Photography to ensure they have what they need to do their best work, while also keeping partners in the loop. You'll create and maintain a Creative Calendar that supports everything from seasonal campaigns to ad-hoc requests to help the Creative Team scale its efforts as the business grows. This is a highly organized but deeply creative-adjacent position for someone who loves being part of the creative process, thrives on problem-solving, and takes satisfaction in making order out of chaos... "Creative Solutions."

This position reports to the Director of Creative and is a salaried, exempt role.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?

Act as central point of contact for creative project deadlines, deliverables, and assets across channels

Coordinate intake of creative requests (assets, information, points of contact) and ensure that they are complete, clear, and appropriately prioritized

Create and maintain Creative Calendar to organize projects known ahead of time (e.g. weekly campaigns, seasonal wholesale lookbooks) and in-season requests

Support project scheduling and trafficking by assigning work to functional leads within the Creative Team (Copywriting, Graphic Design, Photography) and keeping Creative Director in the loop along the way

Track progress of deliverables, flagging roadblocks early and keeping stakeholders informed

Organize and manage assets with clear version control to ensure the right materials are delivered on time

Drive necessary approvals with relevant stakeholders

Share updates and recaps between Creative, Marketing, and Merchandising to maintain cross-functional alignment

Support seasonal campaign planning and execution by coordinating deadlines and ensuring that assets flow smoothly from concept through final delivery

Identify opportunities to improve creative workflows and processes for efficiency and clarity

Partner directly with the Chief Creative Officer on special projects requiring a brand touch (e.g., pre-season style naming, miscellaneous brand copy needs)

WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIALS?

Excellent communication skills with an eye for keeping details straight while also seeing the big picture

Strong grasp of brand standards and ability to ask the right questions to uphold them

Exceptional command of grammar and brand voice with ability to pinch-hit on copywriting and proofreading as needed

Passion for systems, organization, and creating order out of chaos, with an enthusiasm for building processes that make work flow more smoothly

Interest in creative production and brand storytelling

Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset

Proactive, resourceful approach to keep projects moving

Balance of detail orientation and flexibility to pivot quickly when needed

Strong organization skills with ability to synthesize information and catch missing pieces

Comfort with juggling multiple projects at once and reprioritizing as business needs shift

Excellent time and project management skills; comfortable with tight deadlines

Ability to optimize visual assets for brand clarity, digital performance, and visual appeal

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, Teams)

Comfort with giving and receiving feedback to support team growth

A proactive, self-starter mindset that brings new ideas and solutions to the team

An entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for growing with Mashburn

Motivated, resourceful problem-solver with a "no task too small" attitude

Flexible, positive, and creative mindset with ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

Reflective of our core values: Hopeful, Helpful, Hardworking, Nimble, Hospitable, Humble, and Honest
