Pay Package (Estimated Weekly)

Weekly Gross: $2,131.36

Stipend (Meals & Housing): $1,375.36

W2 (Taxable at $21/hr for 36 hrs): $756

Position Overview

Mountain Ridge Medical Center is seeking a skilled Travel ICU RN to join its expanding critical care team. This unit treats a wide range of high-acuity patients including neuro-surgical, trauma, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure cases. Nurses will work closely with 24/7 intensivists in a collaborative, teaching-oriented environment.

Unit Details

Unit Name: ICU/650

Total Beds: 28 (12 in Pod A, 16 in Pod B)

Staffing (Night Shift): 1 Charge RN, RN count based on census/acuity, Critical Care Tech staffed 6 days/week (0900–2100)

Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2; may vary from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity

Equipment: Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero

EMR: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years ICU experience (medical, surgical, neuro, or trauma)

BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred: TNCC certification

Common Patient Profiles

Neuro-surgical and trauma (Level III, transitioning to Level II)

Cardiac and respiratory arrest

Ventilator-dependent patients

Alcohol and drug withdrawal cases
