Our Pods (small teams of 5 or less) are comprised of personnel with similar skillsets to ensure mentorship, understanding, and peer support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Position requires minimum of five years detailed knowledge and experience of legislation, regulations, and methods used in DoD travel authorization and entitlement to effectively implement, maintain, and oversee the DoD Travel programs to include Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC)
Requires expert knowledge and skill in DoD travel regulations, conducting post payment reviews of travel payments and the application of methods and techniques for analyzing and evaluating the effects of continuing changes in processes and procedures and funding on the accomplishment of the program milestones. Proficiency navigating DTS system and user requirements, and development of quality assurance/compliance reporting and other analysis techniques.
Knowledge and ability to use automated system software capabilities, i.e. Microsoft Suite, Business Intelligence, to review, report and process financial data as required. Ability to perform substantial research, plan, organize and conduct in-depth study in order to recommend solutions to complex transactions/problems and system and policy changes.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to resolve difficult issues and/or problems to provide advice and assistance on financial management matters relevant to DoD Travel Programs.
Minimum of five (5) years of Defense Travel System (DTS) and Travel Policy experience and understanding.
