About Us

FIS, LLC is a trusted electrical contracting company in Virginia specializing in commercial construction, industrial projects, and institutional electrical systems. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate bids and support our growing pipeline of projects.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.

• Perform detailed electrical take-offs for materials, equipment, and labor.

• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for competitive pricing.

• Develop cost estimates, bid proposals, and scope letters for submission.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate preconstruction planning.

• Stay current with electrical codes (NEC), construction standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial, industrial, or critical infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, and construction estimating methods.

• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid) and Microsoft Excel/Office.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and bid documents.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
