Position Description
Reporting to the senior director of education, this position is primarily responsible for working with educators and
volunteers to implement JA programs throughout Wyoming. The ideal candidate will be passionate about JA’s
mission and have the ability and professionalism to develop and maintain relationships with individuals and
organizations. This position will require regular travel throughout the assigned region, as well as occasional travel
to JA's offices in Loveland, CO and Greenwood Village, CO.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with educators and school administrators within the districts and/or
geographic boundaries assigned by supervisor, and engage with organizations, businesses, and community
groups in Wyoming to support educators and volunteers.
• Lead planning and implementation of JA programs based on the needs of teachers and students, adhering to
JA’s program implementation standards, and ensuring that program schedules, resources, and materials are
well managed.
• Recruit, train, and support JA program volunteers, helping them understand program objectives and providing
guidance on program delivery while maintaining encouraging relationships.
• Utilize JA’s platforms and tools to manage all program requests and teacher and volunteer communications
within the assigned region and maintain accurate records.
• Provide excellent customer service to educators, volunteers, and students.
• Take initiative in the planning, organization and implementation of goals associated with the overall JA mission
and vision.
• Represent JA in the community, participating in events, networking, and outreach activities to promote the
JA’s mission and enhance community engagement.
• Collaborate, problem-solve, and create innovative solutions to make the JA-Rocky Mountain Programs team
more successful and efficient in their work as it pertains to program implementation.
Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to develop and strengthen relationships with current
and prospective stakeholders • Strong sales and communication skills (verbal and written) to engage new schools, educators, and volunteers
in JA programming
• Ability to manage details of projects, programs, and events, which includes multitasking, organization, and
time management skills
• Outstanding verbal communication skills to inspire teachers, students, and volunteers during both in-person
and virtual trainings and small group conversations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated and self-directed
• Experience in education, business, or program management, or related field
• Understanding of Wyoming’s K-12 education system is strongly desired
• Passion for JA’s mission demonstrated by volunteerism and/or previous work experience
• Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Teams, Excel and Outlook is strongly preferred
• A designated home workspace with reliable internet access that supports online meetings
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability and willingness to travel throughout Wyoming
• Candidates living in the Cheyenne or Laramie areas preferred
• Ability to pass required background check

Compensation and Benefits:
• This is an exempt position with an annual salary range of $45,000-$58,000
